The Island Players is an amateur drama group based on Scotland Island, largely made up of a bunch of eccentric individuals who wish to expose their considerable talents to the bear pit of cutting edge criticism that is our discerning that is our discerning off shore theatre audience.
Our manifesto is to deliver an excellent, good time in the guise of plays and review from the humble beginnings of Shakespeare to the original scripts of renaissance dogs, without fear or favour.
As most of our performances reach the dizzy heights of critical acclaim, some above mentioned individuals tend to cite stage fright as an extenuating excuse never to be seen in public again. Therefore, we are constantly in need of brave new talent to tread the boards and keep The Island Players aloft.
If you can (or can’t) act, sing, laugh, dance, direct, laugh, play music, stand on your head, laugh, juggle, build sets, or laugh and would like to be involved with this most infamous drama group, then we would love to hear from you. If you have a project you would like to explore on stage then we would love to hear from you. If you would like to be involved behind the scenes in any capacity from organisation to production to line prompting then we would love to hear from you.
If you’ve got the ticker to last the distance on a production, then we would love to hear from you.
