NOTICE OF PROPOSED WORKS

CULVERT AMPLIFICATION & ROAD MAINTENANCE

Robertson Road, Scotland Island behind Catherine Park

Northern Beaches Council has scheduled culvert and road maintenance works from June 2022. The program involves culvert upgrade works taking approximately two (2) weeks and road maintenance will follow this period.

The culvert works require the closure of the section of road to both pedestrians and vehicles between the hours of 7am and 5pm. Road plates will be used to make the area safe for vehicle movements outside of work hours. 

The road maintenance works will be carried out between the hours of 7am and 5pm and will impact traffic and pedestrian movements.  While the work is being done, it is likely that road closures will be in place for vehicles and pedestrians, with no access through the worksite, except for emergency vehicles.

Council requests all vehicle movements be planned around the core work hours, or please discuss with Kate Gibbs (Project Manager). 

Although every effort will be made to minimise any inconvenience to the community, your cooperation and patience is greatly appreciated.

Please note that inclement weather may delay the planned works.

Top of the island road closure Monday May 9

We’ve been notified that the road to the top of the island will be closed on Monday May 9^th from about 8 am. The section that is currently a clay quagmire will be dug out and resurfaced.
