.#Have you always wanted to be a bartender? Would you like to contribute to island life?

SIRA’s Recreation Club is offering to pay for a few islanders to undertake Responsible Service of Alcohol training in exchange for committing to work behind the bar at 2-3 island events per year for two years. Examples of such events are the island plays, the upcoming Moon Dances, and other musical or theatrical events. Applicants should be over 18, live on the island, be a member of SIRA, enjoy working with people and feel fairly comfortable with technology.

Because  a number of events are coming up soon, we’d like you to do the training ASAP. The training takes from 6 to 8 hours and will be online. Once you do the training, you can work for 90 days but before the end of that time you will need to apply for the official competency card from a Service NSW centre.

If this is of interest to you and you could be available for training soon, please email president@sira.org.au.
