It’s Clean Up Australia Day this Sunday and the national theme is STEP UP TO UNITE.
We are counting on another big turnout of wonderful helpers to clean up the island streets, bush and foreshore.
Coordinators will be stationed at Cargo, Tennis, Bell, and Carols wharves from 9am on Sunday March 3 to register helpers and hand out bags and gloves. If you’d prefer to use your own gloves, that’s totally fine.
To have the best clean up experience, bring some drinking water, supervise children and dogs, and dress appropriately for the weather and getting into hard-to-reach places.
Please return your rubbish, sorted into the bags provided, to your nearest public wharf by 1pm on Sunday.
Thanks to Ian Holley for stepping up as the main coordinator for this year’s clean up, the team leaders who will be stationed at the four wharves and Toby and the lads for picking up the litter collected.
See you on Sunday and if you have any questions, please text Ian on 0478 039 665.
