Developments at Catherine Park: community meeting proposed
A number of people have expressed concern about the sandstone blocks and new parking arrangements at Catherine Park.
Jeremy Smith, Acting Executive Manager of Parks and Recreation at NBC, today agreed to facilitate a discussion with residents in the Community Hall on August 27 following the cafe. SIRA has agreed to collate questions so feel free to send your questions by August 25 to communications@sira.org.au.
SIRA did not make these decisions but acknowledges NBC’s reasons, as expressed in the recent announcement from NBC in SIRA News. SIRA continues to advocate for disability parking and has shared community concerns about the use and placement of the sandstone blocks on the foreshore.
We look forward to a respectful community conversation about these matters with Council on August 27. Exact time to be advised.
