Hazard Reduction Burn

Hazard Reduction Elizabeth Park, Scotland Island Sat 24 October 2020

The Brigade is planning to complete a hazard reduction burn on the eastern side of Elizabeth Park on Saturday 24th October. A map of the proposed burn area is attached. This is an important step in reducing bush fire risk for residents in our community.

The burn is weather dependent. If there is any rain between now and Saturday morning we will postpone the burn. Any changes will be posted on the Brigade’s Facebook Page.

We also understand NBC is liaising with a number residents to remove personal items from the proposed burn area.
