Wharf Upgrade

Wharves affected:- Bell and Carols

GPM Marine Constructions is preparing to commence the upgrade of Bell and Carols Wharves on behalf of the Northern Beaches Council.

The proposed works will provide approximately thirty-two (32) additional commuter berths at both Bell Wharf and Carols Wharf as well as upgrades to the ferry berthing facilities. Repairs and accessibility upgrades to the existing fixed wharves will also be completed.

The wharf upgrade works are expected to commence 23rd November 2020 and be completed mid-2021. The works will start with wharf remediation at both wharves with works in the new floating pontoons to commence early next year.

Access to the Church Point Ferry services will be actively maintained throughout the entire construction period, although the wharves may need to be closed for short periods of time (1-2 days) for which a week’s notice will be provided. At least one of the two wharves will be open to the public at all times.
