Car parking, footpath and drainage improvements from 2 April

WPCA have shared a notice they received from NBC about work about car park improvement works to the area between Cargo Wharf and Holmeport Marina.

The work starts Tuesday 2 April and will take about 4 weeks.

The notice from NBC is as follows:

Northern Beaches Council is proposing to undertake car park improvement works to the parking area opposite 21 McCarrs Creek Rd, Church Point, the section between Cargo Wharf and Holmeport Marina. The works are to include the sealing and line marking of 15 parking spaces as well as footpath and drainage improvements.

The proposed starting date will be Tuesday 2nd April 2024 with an expected duration of 4 weeks. Please note that inclement weather may delay the works.

Work hours will be between 7am – 5pm on weekdays. All appropriate traffic and pedestrian management will be in place to ensure works are carried out safely. Users of the car park will need to make alternative arrangements as there will be limited access to the car park area for the duration of the project. Please remove your vehicle if you are parked there before 7am the day works commence.

Should you require any further information regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact Council’s Construction and Maintenance Engineer, Renata Medina, on 0403 250 689.

Note: WPCA has checked with Council and confirms that no car spaces will be lost/removed in the improvement works.

CCTV installed at Cargo Wharf

WPCA also advises that CCTV has been installed at Cargo Wharf and is undergoing testing. Once working they will install the detection loops and remove the bollards.
