The Northern Beaches Council have decided to make the six unused reserved spots in the upper deck of the new car park, available to frontline workers for free. We do not know the duration of this access, but it would be reasonable to expect that it would be for the duration of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, or while the Ausgrid works consumes part of the Church Point car park, whichever is the shortest duration, at a minimum.

SIRA has been asked to find appropriate and worthy candidates, who are frontline emergency workers, working on the mainland. Thus, we are asking for people to apply who are working on the mainland on a daily basis, in a role which requires them to be in physical contact with people who may or may likely be positive to COVID-19.

To verify employment roles fit within the guidelines, we ask you to put the name and contact number of a supervisor at work.

These spots allocations are designed to help those who are on the frontline be able to get home, as when they currently get home, they are unable to find a parking spot. No more than one reserved spot will be given per household. This is also designed to lower the pressure on the parking for the Church Point car park.

Please consider your suitability in this category by answering yes to the following questions:

  • Do you work in a role that requires you to be interacting with people who could be or are likely to be positive for COVID_19?
  • Do you work with at-risk people?
  • Do you work on the mainland?
  • Do you work over 30 hours a week?
  • Do you find it difficult/near impossible to find a parking spot at the times you arrive home?
  • Are you a Church Point Parking Permit holder?

You will also be able to add any additional information to help give your application merit.

To apply for one of the reserved spots, please fill in the below application form. Applications must be submitted by 10am, on Sunday the 5th of April, 2020.

APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED, Thank You.
