Tragic boating incident on Pittwater

The Scotland Island Residents’ Association Committee extends its sincere condolences to the family and friends of the young woman who was killed in a boating accident at Elvina Bay on the evening of July 17th

This tragic loss, as well as the serious injuries suffered by a local man in the same incident, has affected our small and close-knit community deeply.

SIRA hopes that the privacy of those affected will be respected and that all involved will feel nurtured and protected by all of us.

A support session for those affected by the incident is being offered by the RFS. This is the invitation sent by the RFS:

The tragic events of Sunday evening has left a mark on us all.

Everyone is affected differently by these events and in order to support those who were involved either directly or indirectly, a RFS Critical Incident Support team has offered to facilitate a private session on:

Thursday evening 21st July
from 6pm
Elvina Fire Station

The session is not intended to discuss additional details of the event, instead the goal is to provide a positive way to cope with the effects of dealing with this traumatic event and lessening the impact of critical incident stress on those impacted and their families.

If you feel that either this group discussion or an individual session would be of interest to you, please either:
