Do you have some business skills? Would you like to contribute to your community?

The Scotland Island Residents’ Association is seeking a Treasurer to fill in until the next AGM in October. You would need to have about five hours to spare during an average month. The position entails overseeing and working with the SIRA Accountant, who looks after all the accounts work. You would also:

• review the monthly reports prepared by the Accountant and be able to discuss them with the SIRA Committee during its monthly meetings
• sign off on payments
• review any leases and contracts that involve SIRA
• oversee the annual report and the audit review process after the end of June
