.#SIRAC Meeting Monday March 17, 6:30-7:30 pm online or in the Community Hall
All members are encouraged to attend the next SIRAC meeting, either in person or online via Google Meet (link below). Members with questions are encouraged to submit them to Secretary@sira.org.au a week before the meeting so that answers can be prepared if needed. However, you are welcome to turn up on the day with your thoughts and questions.
A brief summary of the minutes for the SIRAC Meeting February 17, 2025
The President reported that a question has been put to NBC as to the status of the car park loan, when it will be repaid, and fee structure for residents after the repayment. Other items were:
- Treasury: results slightly ahead of budget; Australian Ethical Balanced Investment Fund has a current value of $207,923.
- Emergency Water led a vote of thanks for John Marshall who has put in many volunteer hours on the water line and freely shared his expertise. Thank you John Marshall!!
- Transport reported that the CV will be replaced with a new vehicle of the same model. Accessibility was discussed; a step is available for anyone who needs it.
- Roads, Drainage, Traffic and Environment will follow up with NBC as to the SI traffic management plan.
- Wharves and Watercraft reported a meeting with NBC about Tennis and about cleaning up abandoned boats.
- Recreation Club has arranged staff to run a bar at Moondance, and Sophie Scamps will be invited to speak at next café. (Update: she is not available.)
- Comms reported data gathered by PON editor that 2/3 of people open PON without two hours of receipt, and that executive summaries of SIRAC minutes will now be published along with links to the full minutes on SIRA News to better inform residents.
