.#REMINDER: ROADWORKS

Robertson Road and Thompson Street

January 28-31

In this coming week Pino and his crew will be laying asphalt on the new road surfaces on Robertson and Thompson Road. This is a big operation and it’s important that everyone is aware of road closures and parking issues. Cass Gye has provided the following details:

Tuesday January 28

Equipment will be barged over in preparation for asphalt to be laid on the new road surfaces.

Wednesday January 29 to 31

Trucks will be delivering asphalt to the foreshore to be loaded and transported to the works sites. There must be NO PARKING at the bottom of Cargo and no vehicular access to the site. Pedestrian access will be supervised.

Road Closures

Robertson Road will be closed during this period so please do not attempt to travel through this area. You can instead go the other way to access the Island; from Tennis via Richard Road and Carol’s corner.

Thompson Street at Hilda Avenue intersection will also be closed Friday January 31 so asphalt can be laid.

Roadworks notices will be placed out tomorrow advising operations. You can also read the letter from NBC in this SIRA News posted last week; a map is included.

This is a big operation and Pino and the crew thank everyone in advance for their cooperation and patience.
