.#Free grants workshop
SIRA has received this information from the Grants Officer working with Sophie Scamps, federal member for Mackellar.
Dear Scotland Island Residents Association,
We are proud to present a FREE workshop for the community organisations of Mackellar featuring practical, easy to follow steps to:
- Access grants
- Apply for grants
- Use resources and templates giving confidence and skill on your grant application journey.
The good news is that the Department of Social Services (DSS) will open 2024-25 Volunteer Grant Rounds late November 24. The Government has made changes to the Volunteer Grants Program for the first time since 2001, to better align the program with the National Strategy for Volunteering 2023-33, its vision for children and young people, and to support some key costs facing all volunteering organisations. In 2023-24, 46 Expressions of Interest (EOI) were submitted with 26 organisations receiving between $1000 – $5,000. Each electorate was allocated $66,225.
Our 10th December workshop will cover the 24/25 DSS eligibility guidelines (revised from previous years) and the process for submitting an EOI to the Mackellar electorate office.
RSVP now to secure your spot, limited spaces available.
We will also email further detail about the 2024-25 Volunteer Grant EOI process at the end of November following a briefing from DSS.
