SIRA conducted a survey of Scotland Island Residents to determine the community’s attitudes in relation to the impending Council Decision to give final approval for the built of the new Car Park at Church Point.

As outlined above there are three Interim Strategies for Demand Management (Offshore Priority Parking) that have been adopted by the SIRA and WPCA Committees, these are:

(A) Church Point Parking Permits are only to be sold to Offshore Residents

(B) 300 car spaces for Church Point Permit only parking every day between 6pm and 6am (e.g. noPay and Display parking in the main carpark allowed between those hours)

(C) If 4P restrictions are introduced in the Church Point local streets, Church Point Parking Permit holders are exempt Until we can undertake the proposed second survey to better determine the Community’s views on this important issue we need to check the level of support for adopting these Interim Strategies.
