Pittwater Offshore Neighbourhood Watch Marine

The name is a bit of a mouthful but the intentions are good!!

Over the past year or so, a group of residents, who were involved with various Island , and Western Foreshore organisations, became concerned that some individuals were having to confront problems of common interest, but without community help.

The result was the formation of the Pittwater Offshore Neighbourhood Watch Marine, covering the Western Foreshores and Scotland Island, with the avowed aim of securing a safe environment, free from crime and fear of crime, to work in conjunction with the Water Police.

This organisation is now in place, and a core group known as Neighbourhood Contacts have volunteered to oversee the two areas, that have since been divided into eight sectors.

Everyone will be approached by their NC,’s, who will be armed with a pack of goodies: a flier outlining The Role of Residents, an Emergency Action Fridge Card packed with useful contact numbers & information (generously donated by Pink Water Taxis), some information on home, boat & valuables security and the Companies that provide it., the Membership Application Form, & some Police signs & stickers to identify your household as being part of Neighbourhood Watch.

And your role? simply to OBSERVE AND REPORT ! so please think about the safety of your family and property, and join with us to ensure it is protected.

Finally, the good news is that it won’t cost you a cent! Membership is free.
