October 15, 16, 22, 23

Scotland Island Community Hall
7:30 pm

The Scotland Island Players are back with a bang (or more correctly a roll of thunder). See the Players come storming onto the stage in Caravan by Donald McDonald. For everyone who can remember their childhood family holidays by the sea and those who try to forget them. But how could you forget the caravan (dad’s pride and joy), the trek to the cold showers not to mention the dunny, barbecuing in the rain; and everyone getting on everyone else’s nerves. Take away the kids and add a dash of friends, a soupcon of adultery, a gallon of grog, and a heap of hilarity shaken but not stirred by aftermath of Cyclone Jack and you’ve got Caravan.

Caravan is directed by Bob Bolton and stars a mix of new and old Players. Come and see:

Naughty Netty Lodge as the passionate Penny Robinson
Macho Mark Morgan as the philandering Parkes Robinson
Testy Tracy Smith as the manipulative Monica
P Paul Burchall as the reluctant Rodney
“Gentleman” John Travers as the petulant Pierce, and
the joy to look at Jessica Thompson as the gullible Gwendolyn

Caravan opens on Friday 15 October with more performances on Saturday 16, Friday 22 and Saturday 23 October – all at 7:30pm “island time”. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children and other concession pass holders.
